SUMMARY:June Luncheon: Transportation Levy: Pathways to Improvement
DESCRIPTION:On May 3\, 2024\, Mayor Harrell unveiled an 8-year\, $1.45 billion levy proposal to fund transportation safety and maintenance in Seattle. This levy will go on the November 2024 ballot. This proposal works to align to the City of Seattle's commitment to the One Seattle vision for a safe\, reliable\, and connected transportation system and to ongoing efforts to improve transportation infrastructure and services citywide.\n\n\n\nWhat does this mean for West Seattle businesses and residents (and our bridge)? Find out at our June luncheon as we hear from Meghan Shepard\, Funding Plan Director (Interim)\, SDOT.\n\n\n\nCouncilmember and Transportation Chair Rob Saka's Chief of Staff\, Elaine Ko\, will also be present to speak on the proposed amendments to the Levy on behalf of the Councilmember.
